Jog a Thon!

This year we will be holding Jog-a-thon -- the very best type of fundraiser because 100% of the funds raised will go directly to our school to support and enhance current programs. In keeping with our goal to have healthy, active students, our children will have a unique opportunity to raise vital funds for our school and also emphasize that exercise and fitness can be lots of FUN!
How it works….
Each grade will have 20 minutes to jog/walk around our circle. With the help of other students, faculty, and parents, we’ll have a great time cheering everyone on. Parents can make signs or purchase one for $5 for their children to encourage them or they may jog along with them.
Attached is a sponsor form for students to solicit pledges from family members, neighbors, parents, co-workers, and friends. This is not a door-to-door sale- PLEASE for safety reasons do not have your children approach strangers. People can pledge a flat rate and provide a check made out to Davenport Ridge PTO. Students will then bring in their forms and checks by October 20th to qualify for prizes. The TOP STUDENT raising the MOST money in pledges will win a gift certificate to Nike ID. The student raising the second highest amount will win a gift certificate to iTunes.
We will also be awarding the TOP CLASSROOM who raises the most money a “Munchkin and Hot Chocolate Party” and $25 teacher gift card.
